Tere Hamburg

Bozeman Resident for over 20 years

Let me introduce myself

I’ve been working with and training animals for decades. My passion is dogs, as they are super sensitive, responsive, and unconditional companions. Dogs are great communicators once you understand their language, and bundles of energy.

I enjoy dog competition sports such as frisbee, barn hunt, treibball, and nose work. I have earned  national titles in obedience and agility.

Overall, I am a student of dog behavior. I have a degree as a Veterinary Technician and have a certification in dog training from Animal Behavior College.

Training philosophy

Many trainers adopt their cookbook style of training (purely positive, use of e collars, dominance theory). My approach is individualized for each family and dog, and their unique needs.

Frequently people experience their dogs doing well at a class, but then do not behave at home.

What others are saying

“I have had the opportunity to learn agility training techniques with Tere over the past year.  Tere provides both encouragement and areas of improvement to create a successful outcome on the agility course.  I’ve appreciated her knowledge and insights.” Sarah
